Drawing of scooped-out headrest from a First Temple period, Jerusalem burial cave south of Jerusalem’s Jaffa Gate. Similar headrests discovered in excavations at the Shoulder of Hinnom opposite Mt. Zion in Jerusalem, were repeated six times on one burial bench (see photograph).
