“When the king was feeling high from the wine, he ordered … the seven eunuchs who personally served King Xerxes to bring Queen Vashti, wearing the royal turban, before the king, so that he might show off her beauty to the guests and the officials; for she was very beautiful. Queen Vashti, however, refused to come at the king’s order.”
