Byzantine monks living in the Tomb of Pharaoh’s Daughter made “improvements” including increasing the height of the tomb’s doorway. In doing so, the majority of the inscription panel above the door was destroyed. The drawing by Georges Perrot and Charles Chipiez shows its original location above the tomb entranceway.
