TWO BUILDINGS FROM DIFFERENT TIMES. The 3-foot-thick walls of the larger Iron Age administrative center would have supported a several-story structure. Much of this structure was destroyed by a later Byzantine construction with narrower walls (the structures around the tree) atop the Iron Age administrative center.
