TEMPLE RENOVATIONS. The Azekah temple sanctuary featured a low, round stone installation at its center, with an attached basin. Both were covered in white plaster. Adjacent to these stood a small pillar of smooth white limestone. Given the brightness of these surfaces, it is easy to imagine the rays of the morning sun painting this space in vibrant hues of gold, orange, and pink.
