STRANGER THINGS. From the final phase of cultic activity at Tell Qasile comes a vase with one central and four peripheral openings and decorated with a painted frieze of closed and opened plants (perhaps sacred trees), reminiscent of ceremonial depictions in wall paintings from the Bronze Age city of Mari in eastern Syria (see above).
