Bruce Routledge
Dr. Bruce Routledge, archaeologist, currently holds a position as Senior Lecturer in Archaeology, through the School of Archaeology, Classics, and Egyptology, at the University of Liverpool. Dr. Routledge’s research focuses on the Bronze and Iron Ages of the Levant, most particularly the Iron Age of south-central Jordan and that of the biblical Moab. Some of his most recent publications include Moab in the Iron Age: Hegemony, Polity, Archaeology (Philadelphia: University of Pennsylvania Press, 2004), ‘The antiquity of the nation? Critical reflections from the Ancient Near East’ (2003), and ‘The politics of Mesha: segmented identities and state formation in Iron Age Moab’ (2000).
