Claude F. A. Schaeffer

Claude F.A. Schaeffer (d. 1982) was a French Archaeologist who most famously led the excavation team at Ugarit that uncovered the Ugaritic religious texts. Schaeffer was also the former Curator of the Prehistoric Gallo-Roman Museum in Strasbourg and of the Museum of National Antiquities in Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
