Cyrus H. Gordon

Cyrus H. Gordon (d. 2001) was the Gottesman Professor of Hebraic Studies at New York University. Among his many publications were Ugaritic Textbook (Rome, 1967), Forgotten Scripts: Their Ongoing Discovery and Decipherment (Dorset, 1987) and A Scholar’s Odyssey (Scholar’s Press, 2000).
