David O’Connor

David O’Connor is the Lila Acheson Wallace Professor of Ancient Egyptian Art at New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts and the former Curator of the Egyptian collection housed at University of Pennsylvania Museum. O’Connor has co-directed the on-going excavations at Abydos since 1964 and was also a Co-director of the excavations at Malkata in western Thebes.
