Donald B. Redford

Donald B. Redford (d.2024) is a Professor of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies and History at Pennsylvania State University. His writings include Israel, Canaan & Egypt in Ancient Times (Princeton, 1992) and A History of Egypt (Kendall-Hunt, 2007). As part of the Akhenaten Temple Project, of which Redford has led since 1972, he is the current Director of the Mendes Excavations.
