Jack M. Sasson

Jack M. Sasson was the Mary Jane Werthan Professor of Judaic and Biblical Studies at Vanderbilt University until his retirement in 2014. An expert in Assyriology and the Bible, Sasson published From the Mari Archives: An Anthology of Old Babylonian Letters (Eisenbrauns, 2015) as well as the commentaries on Ruth (JSOT, 1979), Jonah (Doubleday, 1991) and Judges 1-12 (Yale University Press, 2014).
