Jane Cahill West

Jane Cahill West served as a senior staff member of the City of David Archaeology Project Directed by Yigal Shiloh between the years 1978 and 1985. In the late 1980s she was a Director at Tell el-Hammah in the Jordan Valley on behalf of the Hebrew University. She has also worked at a number of other excavations in Israel including Tel Yinam, Capernaum, and Kirbet Nisyia. Although she has since become a lawyer and now spends most of her time working for a federal judge in Houston, Texas, she continues to publish articles on a variety of archaeological subjects including, most notably, Jerusalem at the time of David and Solomon, rosette stamped storage jars from the late Iron Age, and stone vessels from the Second Temple Period.
