John Boardman

John Boardman is an Emeritus Professor of Classical Archaeology at Oxford University. In 1989 he was knighted and in 1995 was awarded the Kenyon Medal for Classical Studies from the British Academy. He has excavated at Smyrna, Crete, Emporio in Chios and at Tocra in Libya and written numerous books, including The Greeks Overseas that is now in its fourth edition.
