John Lloyd Stephens

John Lloyd Stephens (d. 1852) was an author, explorer and diplomat who was amongst the first to publish illustrated accounts of travels in the Middle East in his 1838 book Incidents of Travel in Egypt, Arabia Petraea and the Holy Land.
