Jonathan Kirsch

Jonathan Kirsch is a book editor and book columnist for the Jewish Journal and the author of Moses: A Life (Ballantine Books, 1998) amongst may other works. This essay is adapted from his earlier work, The Harlot by the Side of the Road: Forbidden Tales of the Bible (Ballantine Books, 1997).
