Kurt Weitzmann

Kurt Weitzmann (d. 1993) was a Professor Emeritus of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University and was a permanent member of the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton. In the Alexandria-Michigan-Princeton Archaeological Expedition to the Monastery of Saint Catherine at Mount Sinai (1956–1965), Weitzmann was responsible for recording and study of all figurative arts in the monastery and, specifically, for publication of the mosaics and wall paintings.
