Mario Liverani

Mario Liverani is a Professor Emeritus of History of the Ancient Near East at the University of Rome “La Sapienza.” Liverani has lead excavations in Italy, the Near East and Libya. He is author of International Relations in the Ancient Near East, 1690-1100 BC (Palgrave Macmillan, 2002) and The Ancient Near East: History, Society and Economy (Routledge, 2014).
