Martin A. Cohen

Martin A. Cohen is a distinguished authority on Jewish history. Professor of Jewish History at Hebrew Union College in New York, Cohen has edited three major sections on Sephardic studies for the new Encyclopedia Judaica. He is well-known for his book The Martyr (Jewish Publication Society, 1973) which concerns the predicament of a secret Jew during the Mexican Inquisition in the 16th century.
