Paula Wapnish

Paula Wapnish combines expertise in cuneiform texts with knowledge of zoology. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Jewish Studies Program at Pennsylvania State University. She is co-author, along with her husband Brian Hesse, on Animal Bone Archaeology (Taraxacum, 1985). Wapnish has served as zooarchaeologist for excavations at Megiddo, Ashkelon and Tell Jemmeh.
