Peter C. Craigie

Peter C. Craigie (d. 1985) taught at Carleton University, McMaster University and the University of Calgary, Canada. Craigie’s many publications include two books on Ugarit: Psalms 1–50 (1983), in which he examines critically the late Mitchell Dahood’s use of Ugaritic in the translation of the Psalms and Ugarit and the Old Testament (Eerdmans, 1983). A native of Scotland, Craigie served as a pilot officer in the Royal Air Force.
