Roland de Vaux

Roland de Vaux (d. 1971) served as Director of the École Biblique et Archéologique Française in Jerusalem, and as Editor of the Revue Biblique. His groundbreaking book, Ancient Israel: Its Life and Institutions, is still a classic today.
