Author of The Samaritans (Brill, 1987), Reinhard Plummer (“How to Tell a Samaritan Synagogue from a Jewish Synagogue”) is professor of world religions at the University of Ottawa.

Carolyn R. Higginbotham (“The Egyptianizing of Canaan”) is assistant professor of religion at Muskingham College in New Concord, Ohio, where she regularly teaches courses in Biblical studies, Biblical archaeology and religion.

Since earning her doctorate in ancient Semitic languages, paleography and epigraphy from Hebrew University, Ada Yardeni (“Breaking the Missing Link”) has written three books and more than 20 articles on deciphering ancient inscriptions.

Zvi Gal (“Israel in Exile”) is the chief archaeologist of the northern district for the Israel Antiquities Authority and a past director of the Hecht Museum at the University of Haifa. He has surveyed and excavated throughout Lower Galilee.

Robert Deutsch (“First Impression: What We Learn from King Ahaz’s Seal”) is a lecturer in epigraphy and ancient Northwest Semitic inscriptions at the University of Haifa.
