The Yigael Yadin Professor of Archaeology at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Amnon Ben-Tor (“Solomon’s City Rises from the Ashes”) has been excavating at Hazor since 1990. He is the author of The Archaeology of Ancient Israel (1992).
Frank Moore Cross (“King Hezekiah’s Seal Bears Phoenician Imagery”) has written more than 200 scholarly articles during his 35 years as the Hancock Professor of Hebrew and Other Oriental Languages at Harvard University, from which he retired in 1992. He has also written numerous articles for BAR, including most recently “The Missing Link,”BAR 24:02.
Boaz Zissu (“Odd Tomb Out”) is excavating the Beit Safafa graves for the Israel Antiquities Authority. He has participated in many surveys and excavations within Jerusalem and throughout Israel while preparing his doctoral thesis on the geography of rural Judea at the end of the Second Temple period.
