David Jacobson (“Marisa Tomb Paintings”) is a research fellow at the University of London and holds doctorates in materials science and classical archaeology. A specialist on Herodian architecture and the history of exploration in the Holy Land, he has published widely on classical history and archaeology.

One of the most respected figures in Biblical studies, David Noel Freedman (“Don’t Rush to Judgement”) is a professor at the University of California at San Diego and the editor, among much else, of the Anchor Bible Series and of the Anchor Bible Dictionary.

Avraham Faust (“Pottery Talks”) is senior lecturer in the Institute of Archaeology at Bar-Ilan University, in Israel. He co-wrote, with Shlomo Bunimowitz, “Ideology in Stone” in our July/August 2002 issue.
