Sidnie White Crawford (“A View from the Caves”) is professor of classics and religious studies at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where she chairs the department. She is also president of the Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem. As a member of the scroll publication team, she has written extensively on both the scrolls and the sectarian community of Qumran that she believes produced them.
Urban C. von Wahlde (“The Puzzling Pool of Bethesda”) is professor of New Testament and former chairperson of the theology department at Loyola University Chicago. He is the author of a recent three-volume commentary on the Gospel and Letters of John (Eerdmans, 2010).
