She is a Researcher and Instructor at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Naama Yahalom-Mack is Co-Director of the Tel Abel Beth Maacah Excavations and a Lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
“Reimagining Herod’s Royal Portico”: Orit Peleg-Barkat is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Archaeology at the Hebrew University. She specializes in Hellenistic and Roman art and architecture of the southern Levant and currently runs two archaeological excavations. This BAR article is based on her recent book Herodian Architectural Decoration and King Herod’s Royal Portico.

“Reactivating Remembrance: Interactive Inscriptions from Mt. Gerizim”: Anne Katrine de Hemmer Gudme is Associate Professor in the Faculty of Theology at the University of Copenhagen. Her specialties include cult polemics and food and meals within the Hebrew Bible and ancient Near East.
“Secrets of the Copper Scroll”: Joan E. Taylor is Professor of Christian Origins and Second Temple Judaism at King’s College London. Her numerous books and articles explore early Jewish and Christian life in the ancient Mediterranean.
“Blurred Lines: The Enigma of Iron Age Timnah”: Mahri Leonard-Fleckman is an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at the College of the Holy Cross. Her research interests include the social and political development of the ancient Near East.
