Donald T. Ariel (“Archive Discovered Under Maresha”) is the head of the Coin Department of the Israel Antiquities Authority. He works as a coin specialist with several expeditions in Israel, including at Sepphoris, Megiddo, and Bethsaida.

Shimon Gibson (Milestones) is an archaeologist who teaches at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is excavating on Mount Zion in Jerusalem. His research interests include landscape archaeology, early Judaism, and early Christianity, as well as the history of archaeology and photography in the Middle East.
John Huehnergard (Milestones) is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. He specializes in Semitic languages and linguistics, historical linguistics, writing systems, and ancient Near Eastern history.
Ann E. Killebrew (Milestones) is Associate Professor of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Jewish Studies, and Anthropology at Pennsylvania State University. She co-directs excavations at Tel Akko and also co-edits the Journal of Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology and Heritage Studies.
Shua Kisilevitz (“Facing the Facts About the ‘Face of God’”) is a research archaeologist with the Israel Antiquities Authority and co-director of the the Moẓa Expedition. She is a Ph.D. candidate at Tel Aviv University.
Ido Koch (“Facing the Facts About the ‘Face of God’”) is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures, Tel Aviv University, and co-director of the Tel Hadid Expedition.
Oded Lipschits (“Facing the Facts About the ‘Face of God’”) is Professor of Jewish History at Tel Aviv University. He is Director of the Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology, co-director of the Lautenschläger Azekah Expedition, and co-director of the Moẓa Expedition Project.
James F. McGrath (Milestones) is the Clarence L. Goodwin Chair in New Testament Language and Literature at Butler University. His research centers on the New Testament and early Christianity, as well as on the intersection of religion and science fiction.
Megan Nutzman (“Jewish Epitaphs from Ancient Rome”) is Assistant Professor of History at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia. Her research focuses on ancient religions and rituals in the larger Mediterranean world.
Ian Stern (“Archive Discovered Under Maresha”) is the Director of the Archaeological Seminars Institute and the Director of the Maresha excavations. He is associated with the Nelson Glueck School of Biblical Archaeology of Hebrew Union College, Jerusalem.
David S. Vanderhooft (“Facing the Facts About the ‘Face of God’”) is Associate Professor of Theology at Boston College. His research focuses on the Hebrew Scriptures, especially the Prophets.
Győző Vörös (“Restoring Herod’s Throne Niche at Machaerus”), a Ph.D. in architecture, has directed the Machaerus Excavations and Surveys since 2009. He is a Member and Research Director of the Hungarian Academy of Arts and a Research Professor of the Pontifical University Faculty of Biblical Sciences and Archaeology in Jerusalem.
Rebekah Welton (“Gluttony and Drunkenness in Ancient Israel”) is a Lecturer in the Theology and Religion Department at the University of Exeter. Her research focuses on the consumption of food and alcohol in the Hebrew Bible. She also serves as an Area Supervisor at the Mount Zion excavations.
