Sweeney (“Zephaniah”) is Professor of Hebrew Bible and Religion at Claremont Graduate University, and is Vice President and CEO of the Ancient Biblical Manuscript Center in Claremont, California. He is the author of various commentaries including, most recently, Zephaniah, in the Hermeneia series (Fortress, 2003).
