John Dominic Crossan (“A Woman Equal to Paul”) is Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at DePaul University in Chicago. He has written more than 20 books on the historical Jesus in the last 30 years. Most recently, he has cowritten, with archaeologist Jonathan L. Reed, Excavating Jesus (2001) and In Search of Paul (2004), both published by Harper San Francisco.
Jack M. Sasson (“Of Time and Immortality”) is the Mary Jane Werthan Professor of Judaic and Biblical Studies at Vanderbilt University. An expert in Assyriology and the Bible, Sasson published the commentary on Jonah in the Anchor Bible series.
