John Herrmann (“The Master from Apulia”) is the John F. Cogan, Jr. and Mary L. Cornille Curator of Classical Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. He is co-author of Vase Painting in Italy: Red-figure and Related Works in the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, 1993).
The Director General of the Giza Pyramids, Zahi Hawass (“Who Really Built the Pyramids?”) directed the Sphinx Restoration Project from 1989 to its completion in December 1997. He currently supervises various excavations and conservation projects at Giza, Memphis and Saqqara.
