“Satan’s Throne: Revelations from Revelation,” by Adele Yarbro Collins, has been named the best article to appear in BAR in 2005 and 2006.
Published in May/June 2006, the article was selected by judges, archaeologists and BAR contributors Beth Alpert Nakhai (associate professor, The Arizona Center for Judaic Studies, The University of Arizona, Tucson) and Alan Millard (Emeritus Rankin Professor of Hebrew & Ancient Semitic Languages, The University of Liverpool).
An Honorable Mention went to runner-up “Was Noah’s Ark a Sewn Boat?” by Ralph K. Pedersen, which appeared in the May/June 2005 issue.
