H.B. Tristram, The Land of Moab: Travels and Discoveries on the East Side of the Dead Sea and the Jordan, 2nd ed. (Piscataway, NJ: Gorgias Press LLC, 1874), pp. 330–333; W.M. Thomson, The Land and the Book: Southern Palestine and Jerusalem (New York: Harper and Brothers, 1882), pp. 371–376. Both Tristram’s and Thomson’s analyses of Genesis 13:1–12 are excellent, and they used that geographical information directly in their explorations.
