In an interview published in the September/October BAR (“BAR Interviews Giovanni Pettinato,”BAR 06:05), Pettinato did identify the inventory numbers of tablets which, he contends, contain names corresponding to Sodom, Gomorrah, and Zoar. Pettinato denies ever writing that the five names appear in the same tablet.
