Footnote 1 – My View

Professor Wright was America’s leading biblical archaeologist at the time of his death in 1974. From teaching positions first at McCormick Theological Seminary and later at Harvard University, Wright trained a generation of American biblical archaeologists. His principle excavations were at the biblical cities of Shechem and Gezer.
