Based on his finds, Rami Arav argues that the town Tzer, mentioned in Joshua 19:35—“the fortified cities of the fishermen are Tzer, Hamat, Raqat and Kinneret”—may be Bethsaida, the largest known Iron Age fishing city on the Sea of Galilee.
