Footnote 2 – Essene Origins: Palestine or Babylonia?

Although it is impossible to identify the Teacher of Righteousness who led the Essenes at the time of the Wicked Priest, the Wicked Priest was probably Jonathan Maccabeus or Simon Maccabeus.
