Footnote 4 – The Exodus from Egypt: Myth or Reality?

The dates for Ramesses II are variously given as: 1304–1238 B.C.E. on the high chronology, 1290–1224 B.C.E. on the middle chronology and 1279–1213 B.C.E. on the low chronology. I like the high chronology. However, this means that the date for Merneptah’s Stele would be about 1230 B.C.E. rather than 1207 as cited by our other speakers today.
