Footnote 5 – The Exodus from Egypt: Myth or Reality?

The Bronze Age is divided into Early, Middle and Late; it extends from about 3000 to 1200 B.C.E. The dates generally given for the Late Bronze Age are 1550 to 1200 B.C.E. The transition is probably to be dated from 1590–1530 B.C.E. or so. Transitions from period to period take time, and don’t occur in a single year or even in a single decade.
