The luxury items on the ship included this Canaanite gold medallion (compare with photo of duck-shaped cosmetic container), about 4 inches in diameter, decorated in repoussé with a star and curved rays. This motif is common in Canaanite jewelry, but the Uluburun gold medallion is the largest of its type ever found.
