A treasure trove of gold artifacts—pendants, medallions, rings—was discovered aboard the Uluburun wreck, many identified as Canaanite or Egyptian in style. But this gold chalice, the largest gold object found in the excavations, has no known parallels. Its conical pedestal is riveted to the conical bowl.
