Chamber B introduces the themes of death and the underworld into Yazilikaya’s program. One of its walls features a martial procession of 12 armed gods (shown here, compare with photo of lion-ornamented hilt), probably “the 12 gods of the cross-roads” associated with the underworld in ancient Near Eastern texts.
