Four goat-shaped supplicants carry offerings to a seated goddess on this gold signet ring (compare with photo of seal from a 16th-century B.C. shaft grave at Mycenae). Although found in an early-first-millennium B.C. hoard in Mycenae, the ring’s iconography and craftsmanship suggest that it was made by a Cretan artisan in the 15th century B.C.
