One burial tumulus not far from the Midas Mound contained the remains of a child, perhaps a Phrygian prince, who died in the latter part of the eighth century B.C.E. Buried with the child were toys the youngster probably played with while living, such as this wood carving of a leaping deer with its tongue out.
