In this photo of the outer coffin, Burton tailored the image to emphasize the pharaoh’s astonishingly life-like eyes. Above Tut’s brow is a wreath of cornflowers surrounding images of the vulture goddess Nekhbet (left) and the cobra goddess Wadjyt (right), representing Upper and Lower Egypt.
