The Punicians in Sicily and in Africa also had similar bathing practices: The bathtubs from both Selinunte (see photo of bathtub from Selinunte) and Kerkouane (shown here) are shaped like hip baths, with built-in seats, places for the bathers’ feet and drains to channel dirty bath water into the street.
