Time is indeed short for “Archaeology Odyssey’s 10 Most Endangered Sites,” threatened by neglect, the elements, tourism, plunder or development. Important small sites, like Tipasa in Algeria, may be swallowed up by growing populations, while vast sites, like Pompeii, simply cannot be preserved in their entirety.
