Carved with scenes of fleeing maidens and soldiers brandishing their swords, this gilded quiver was found near the entryway to Vergina’s main burial chamber, along with 74 arrowheads and decomposed wooden shafts. Similar in style to quivers found in southern Russia, it may have been war booty captured by the Macedonians.
