A drawing of the Beer-Sheva storage jar showing the unusual closed-X potter’s mark. The identical potter’s mark was found in a stratum at Tell Shari’a which can be unquestionably dated to the late 7th century, which, according to Yadin, helps prove that Aharoni dated a hundred years too early the stratum in which the Beer-Sheva storage jar was found.
