The edge of the wall in the lower left is the same Omayyad wall which dominates the preceding picture. In this black and white picture, we see on the right—beneath the Omayyad wall—a Byzantine building. At a still lower excavation level (in the upper left corner) and with a different orientation is a Herodian building.
